WorldScrap’s tour to US

The tour Sponsored by WorldScrap to United States has landed in Las Vegas on 6th, Apr and the members have been staying at Circus Circus Hotel.
Circus Circus Las Vegas is a circus-themed 3,774- room hotel and 101,000 sq ft (9,383 m²) casino located on the famed Las Vegas Strip in Winchester, Nevada. It is owned and operated by MGM Mirage. Circus Circus features free circus acts on a regular basis throughout the day. Circus Circus has the only RV park on the Strip, providing additional accommodations in the 399 space park operated by Kampgrounds of America (KOA).The hotel is one kilometer away from Las Vegas Convention centre and 9km from Mccarran International Airport.
The local tour guide led us visited the Grand Canyon on 7th, Apr. The Grand Canyon, a steep-sided gorge carved by the Colorado River in the U.S. state of Arizona, overwhelms our senses through its immense size with a powerful and inspiring landscape. Unique combinations of geologic color and erosional forms decorate a canyon that is 277 river miles (446km) long, up to 18 miles (29km) wide, and a mile (1.6km) deep.

After that, we set a booth in Mandalay Bay Convention Center where ISRI convention was held from 6th- 9th, Apr and the booth number for WorldScrap is No.857. The convention started at 9:00am on 8th, Apr. During the time, large bulks of people have been attracted there to get some information about AQSIQ, China Agency and scrap prices. Thousands of people threaded into the bustling convention to snap up the propagandize bags and brochures of WorldScrap. Additional, two Canadian-Chinese people have been welcomed to join our tour; the current number of members is 14. During the dinner party and two-day ISRI convention, we met hundreds of local suppliers and exchanged the contact information thus to enlarge the market share in United States.

Our tour arrived at Houston on 9th, Apr. Sited in the Southern-east coast of Texas, Houston owns the fame of the largest city in the state of Texas and the biggest oil industry centre in the United States. We have been to PROLER SOUTHWEST LP，HOLMES ROAD RECYCLING COMPANY.INC and other two large plants there on the morning of 10th, Apr, which have astonished us with their mechanized workshops and various metals. The people in the plants have made a detailed explanation for those products and received flooding inquiries from our customers. After visited the plants, we have been to NASA where had seen tens of manned spaceship blasted off since the year of 1961. The famous Apollo-17 spaceship projected here into moon in 1969.

We arrived at Washington D.C on 12th, Apr., and we have enjoyed the splendid historical interests including White House, Capitol, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial and Jefferson Memorial. At that time, it is a blooming season for cherry blossoms which has feasted our eyes with its sanctity and beauty. Washington, which is such a place of haunting beauty as to makes us ignore the call of our homelands and linger here forever.

We landed in New York City on 13th, Apr. Located in North-eastern coast of Atlantic Ocean, New York City occupies the leading first largest city and harbor in America, and it also listed thirteenth among those largest cities all around the world for its dimension. Since more than a century, New York City has been a significant industrial and financial centre in the world. During the traveling in the city, our tour has visited Manhattan, The Statue of Liberty, World Trade Centre, the UN Headquarters and Empire State Building. As the core of New York City, Manhattan based the centre of six large banks and all the headquarters of each monopoly in United States. The famous Wall Street also sites here, which located in lower Manhattan island, New York City, runs east from Broadway downhill to South Street on the East River, through the historical center of the Financial District. Over time Wall Street became the name of the superior headquarters for monopoly and also symbolized the robust US economic wealth. Several major U.S. stock and other exchanges remain headquartered on Wall Street and in the Financial District, including the NYSE, NASDAQ, AMEX, NYMEX, and NYBOT.

After an inspiring travel in NY City, our tour arrived at HOLDEN (a plant for scrap plastic) in Philadelphia. Steven Silver, the person in CSI PLASTICS and his assistant impressed us with their hospitality and also they invited us to have lunch, after the lunch time, some plastic dealers in our tour have took some photos, some samplings or arose inquiries with great interest, and both the sides agreed that they will develop further cooperation after the customers coming back to China.

We drove to Boston in the next day. Built in the year of 1630, Boston owns a long history as much as 360years which titled the “oldest city in America”. We have been to the well-known Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

The last stop of our tour is Niagara Falls on the day of 16th, Apr. The Niagara River, extended as long as 54km and includes Niagara Falls along its course, flows to the north from Lake Erie to Lake Ontario and straddles the international border separating the Canadian province of Ontario and the U.S. state of New York. Niagara Falls is far more than a natural phenomenon and known as one of the seven marvels in the world. For generations, the majestic beauty and humbling power of Niagara Falls State Park has fostered a sense of awe and wonder. Through the years, countless people have enjoyed the sparkling majestic scenery of the falls, making the Niagara Falls an appealing destination for thousands of travelers. Out tour was perfectly ended with such an intoxicating natural marvel and we flied back to Shanghai via Chicago on 18th, Apr.
